The advance screener I got was the English-dubbed version and I personally thought it diminished the quality of the storytelling as a whole. Amazon will have multiple versions of the series available to Prime subscribers. Maybe it's because I like the change of pace in this versus American shows, which seem to need action or intense character drama for every second of screen-time. The show is well-paced, the premise pertinent, and the acting fantastic. Repeatedly humiliated by his boss and constantly cuckolded by his cheating girlfriend, weakling Wes seems to be living right down to everyone's expectations that he would never amount to anything in life.
It's not a new plot, but the acting is good and the characters are interesting enough that I was invested in them very early on. He gets caught in a merciless battle between the security services and criminals, until the line between good and evil becomes ever more blurred. Now, with everything he ever wanted in life finally within his grasp, Wes is about to find out that the only thing more difficult than ending the lives of others is summoning the courage to take control of his own. Upon completing his training, Wes is assigned the task of dealing out death to the mythological Fates, who possess the ability to alter the lifelines of mortal men. Lukas Franke finds himself a victim of a hacking attack, his online information altered to implicate him as having masterminded a cyber-attack on Berlin resulting in a city-wide blackout. It's smartly put together, and know how to take a breath every once in awhile. Maybe it's my love of a good slow burn.

While it wasn't as action-packed as shows I usually watch, I found every second of it very engaging, with the end of each episode catching me off- guard. All his personal data, web and social media profiles get hacked and he gets accused of being involved in eco-terrorism. . . .
