So this will be the last time I come here. We walked in, got a table, and no one seemed to be overly concerned that we wanted to order. No big there are many awesome eats Arizona. Unlike this place, most of the Indian restaurants use cream to make their curries rich and smoother. What leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth is the staleness of the staff. Next was the floor that looked to have been mopped, but not swept first.
Biryani lacked salt, flavor and the rice was overcooked. Perhaps the laws of physics do not apply to the kitchen here as the tandoori dishes somehow came out first, and all the paratha rolls were cold. The dal lentils tasted like dirty beans. This is my second time here and the staff treats me more of like why are you here and less like we want your business please come dine with us. The only thing I did not like was ; size of food they serve in plates. About Zam Zam World Foods is located at the address 30 W Galveston St in Chandler, Arizona 85225.
However quality covers up the size. They take some time to bring food to the table. Also on a 103 degree day, they somehow ran out of ice. I'm only giving 1 star because I didn't have any choice. I liked it most because it was within walking distance.
The curries can be Litle oily at times, if you can see past that, it tastes quite authentic. Bathroom was the same condition. I never ever in my life had such disgusting biryani. Even when we tried to ask the folks in the grocery section, they just looked at us. I was the only table there, but he didn't come back so I just walked out and will Never give them my business again.
Customer service and food quality should go hand in hand and this place sucks big time and sure lacks these qualities. She would have definitely given this place a ah, I'll wait in the car. How much effort does it take to run down to the corner store to make sure you have ice on hand for your customers? Anyway went yesterday to get goat biryani and the tandoori wrap. By far one of the most unprofessional people I have ever come across! It took me 20 mins to get there and she told me that she was sorry but she took an order and sold everything to another customer who apparently had still not picked up the order! That's not how these dishes are traditionally made in the subcontinent. Let me tell you what you should try at this place.
Tandoori chicken is a must-have here. The restaurant is tidy and decorated traditional Far East with a trendy twist. Seems it's standard operating procedure to push around the dirt since the table also had clearly been wiped down with a dirty cloth. Walking in what I first noticed was the dirty front windows and door. This place a diamond in rough for the meat lovers. There is a market just beside the restaurant where you can get meat and other Indo- Pak items. I'm pretty bummed bc it smelled delicious in there and we were gonna eat the hell out of their menu, but you know what? First impressions: The food is good.
I ordered a few entrées the tikka masala was okay. I wish they had a no star option in Yelp cos I would use that. I'm from Cali and omg this place sucks and sorry for the customers who goes there to have biryanis. For maps and directions to Zam Zam World Foods view the map to the right. On top of that service wasn't good either.
Have to give Zam Zam a 1 star based on what would my girl think. The place can hold quite a few people but its not too classy or anything. I was very disappointed with the service I would never go there again! I would have to say management isn't the friendliest but a simple hello and smile is all I need to pick up my food to go: If you feel like trying something new and authentic give this place a try. I told her that I was on my way to get some. I waited around for the server to to check up on me. Trying the Curry Chicken this time. Even when we stood by the counter.
I think in Apache Blvd Tempe they target university students so the ambiance is not attractive. Those are all things I wouldn't write a review for but What really pushed me away is when the server brought out sugar for my chai tea he didn't notice that the container for the sugar packets was full of ants which started to run out and on to the table. They can be contacted via phone at 480 726-6484 for pricing, hours and directions. . I do think there is something for everyone to enjoy: I saw the owner who is the owner of Copper Kettle which had 2 branches Chandler and Tempe.
I give this place four out of five stars because the food is very delicious! Heads up order atleast 15 mins before you go. We ordered 9 paratha rolls and 2 tandoori dishes. Can't imagine coming back here again. You will definitely find more food in any other restaurant. You can go for gravy items and butter nan rather than kebabs.
